Relativity Media scored at least one victory during its bumpy day at U.S. Bankruptcy Court: Judge Michael Wiles overruled Netflix’s objections to the studio’s plan to exit Chapter 11 protection. [...] Netflix wanted the court to let it out of the licensing contract, saying that the studio may not have the wherewithall to fulfill its end. “So long as they have the movies, they have to give them to you or else they pay a penalty,” Wiles said. “If they only have 12 or 15 – whatever the minium is – they have to give them to you or else they pay a penalty….It seems straightforward to me.” - David Lieberman, Deadline Hollywood [via/web:http://streaming-tv.us]
