Finally, another solution for families is a program known as OpenDNS. This free program allows parents to set controls on every device in the home. Billed as being used by “1 in 3 schools in U.S.,” OpenDNS allows parents to block entire categories of content, or just individual websites. Included in these categories is “academic fraud” — an inviting option given how much children are using the Internet for research in their schoolwork.
